1st Special Forces Command would like to invite the public to participate in our 2nd annual 5K & 10K race. Registration is open to the public and automatically enters you into the drawing for door prizes. This is a purpose driven event in order to promote "Esprit De Corps" for the soldiers, families and civilians of 1st SFC. Accompanied along with our unit Organization Day there will be a chili cook off, food, live music and free activities for all who attend.
Hosted at Fayetteville's premier outdoor recreation area, Smith Lake Recreation Area, 1st Special Forces Command holds its 2nd annual Spring Org Day and 5K/10K race.
All military services members and civilians of the surrounding Fort Bragg communities are invited to participate and help to promote unit "Esprit De Corps". Org Day activities are free to all who come include live music, rock climbing wall, bounce house, and corn hole.
ADVANCED PACKET PICKUP
Runners may check-in and receive their race bib and shirt on Thursday from 11 am - 2 pm at Fort Bragg Mini Mall (1013 Reilly Rd) inside the entrance near Starbucks. Those who check-in on Thursday will not need to wait in line to check in on Friday morning.
Online registration is $30 until the end of Thursday. Runners may also register on Thursday at packet pickup or on race morning (7 - 8:30 am).
The running course is an outdoor 5K loop trail with mild hills and a scenic route around beautiful Smith Lake. 5K runners run a single loop and 10K runners run the loop twice.
Race includes a 10K Team race category, where the top 4 times from each team will be used to score the fastest 10K Team!
Registration is open for $30 and still includes a dry-fit race shirt at this time.
Race day registration is from 7:00am - 8:00am only and is $35 (will include a race shirt if they are still available). If you would like to purchase additional race t-shirts you may place an order at the registration table for an additional $25 if available.
Check-in is also on race day from 7:00am-8:00am.
